Engine Simulator General Info

The General tab in the engine simulator calculation window allows you to enter the basics about the engine being simulated.

In addition to using the inputs in the engine simulation, several immediate calculations are also provided.

  • Displacement
  • Cylinder area and volume
  • Piston ring length
  • Bore/stroke and stroke/bore ratios.
  • Rod/stroke and stroke/rod ratios.

There are also three calibration options available. This allows you to adjust the output of the simulator to match any existing engine precisely, so that further experimentation with changes are even more accurate than usual. It's another Speed-Wiz first!

After you fill out the basics on the General tab, you then continue to the Intake, Exhaust, Aspiration, and Valves tabs to continue specifying your engine setup.
