Cornering Calculation

The cornering calculation provides an analysis of the car's cornering capacity and the conditions required to exceed available traction (spin) or to roll over. The calculation works on flat or banked tracks - even reverse banked turns!

Cornering Calculation

Enter turn radius, turn banking angle, vehicle speed, vehicle weight, center of gravity height, track width, and traction. Calculate lateral acceleration, lateral force, weight transfer, cornering capacity, lateral force required to spin, lateral acceleration required to spin, speed required to spin, lateral force required to roll over, lateral acceleration required to roll over, and speed required to roll over.
